If you’ve ever thought about attending a Spiritual Retreat, you’ll want to ask yourself some questions before you embark on your magical journey. Retreats are for people that are willing and ready to grow and it’s important that you’re mindful when thinking about investing in a retreat.
Ask yourself the following questions:
Does the Retreat cover a topic I want to learn about?
When carefully choosing the retreat for you, take a look at the topics that will be covered to see if they resonate with you. A retreat may last a weekend or a week, so you want to be sure the topics align with your interests. After looking at the details of the retreat, your heart will know if it’s the right fit for you. When hosting my annual Psychic Mediumship Retreat, my students know that they will experience psychic mediumship exercises, group guided meditations, and plenty of time to have moments by themselves to reflect. The structure of our schedule is carefully planned out with energy management in mind, since psychic mediumship reading practice and other interactive activities are sprinkled throughout the weekend.
Am I ready to give myself permission to invest in me?
It’s common to fall in love with the idea of attending a spiritual retreat and taking sacred time for yourself away from the rest of the world, but are you willing to invest the time and energy to stay in alignment with what your soul truly wants? Also, are you open to the change that can occur within your soul, while attending a transformative retreat? Each year my retreat students have shared the experience was life-changing and they didn’t leave the same. This can happen at many retreats. It’s easy to want to attend a retreat, but it’s another thing to actually make the decision to sign up. This means, you will have to break your normal routine for the weekend or week you’re away. I remember having a retreat student share with us that it was her first time taking a vacation for herself away from her children. She left the retreat transformed and went back home revitalized for her children.
Is the retreat leader someone I trust to hold space for me?
The person who runs the spiritual retreat sets the tone for the whole experience. There are small details that help everything flow harmoniously. Your retreat leader should be someone you can count on to lead the group through a sacred experience; an experience that is filled with peace, relaxation, and knowledge. This is someone that should be able to hold space for you on your spiritual healing journey of transformation.
As a Psychic Medium Retreat teacher and natural introvert, I truly believe in creating a schedule that allows time to not only be together as a group, but also time for my students to have personal sacred solo moments for themselves. I believe in the power of intention throughout the whole process of creating my retreats. There are moments, throughout my retreat weekend, that a quiet presence and intention is what is needed for my students to have their own personal journey.
Does the environment feel energetically aligned with what my soul craves?
Location is everything when it comes to choosing the retreat for you. Think about what kind of setting you are looking for, while experiencing your sacred journey. The environment should feel calming, beautiful, heart opening, and special. Retreats are meant to feel like vacations, while learning to come back to yourself once again. Choose a retreat located in a space that feels in alignment for you.
It’s very easy to put off a retreat until “next time.” How much longer will you wait for the opportunity to take time for you? In order for you to be your best for important people in your life, you must take time to recharge and follow your soul’s calling. You can’t put a price on self-care. A retreat is the perfect spot to be separated from the rest of the world and come back to your center. If you attend the retreat of your dreams, you will never be the same again.
